Guitar Hero World Tour- a great single player or multiplayer game hits the shelves on October 26 in North America, November 7th in the EU and November 12 in Australia is a highly anticipated improvement on previous versions of the game. Whats New?
1. In addition to the normal four difficulty levels (Easy, Medium, Hard, and Expert) for each song and instrument a new “Beginner” level has been added. This difficulty is aimed to allow players with greatly reduced ability to play.
2. Users will be able to use a “Create-a-Rocker” mode, based on the similar “Create-a-Skater” mode in Neversoft’s Tony Hawk series and the advanced character creation scheme from the Tiger Woods PGA Tour series. Players will be able to affect their character’s poise, clothing, tattoos, makeup, and age.
Selected characters from previous Guitar Hero games will also be available as starting templates for creating a rocker.
3. Players will be able to customize their own guitar for the game to a high degree. Drum sets and mikes will also be customizable.
4. In addtion to the game and players own characters, character modes based off famous musicians will be in the game. Hayley Williams, Jimi Hendrix, Ozzy Osbourne, Zakk Wylde, Billy Corgan, Sting and Ted Nugent join the line up.
5. New venues in the game will include virtual recreations of real-life arenas, such as Ozzfest, Amoeba Music, Live Nation’s House of Blues, Sunset Strip and San Francisco’s AT&T Park

In typical Walmart fashion, they shave off a couple of cents to beat everyone’s price. Walmart will ship this item for $2.49 but it will arrive between Nov 21 and Nov 25 (Happy Thanksgiving?) They also offer 1 day shipping but there is some fine print about processing time and that estimate is for delivery by Nov 19. If you want it from Walmart, try to get it in person.

That being said, yes you can get it the day its released but it will cost you an additional sum. Shipping charges on the website at last look was $4.49 for standard shipping (2-3 days) and $5.98 for release date delivery. Not too bad.
***Circuit City: Price: $39.99 ***Not available for in-store pickup- will be shipped on Nov 13.If you are nearby a Circuit City, you can just drop by but they may be sold out. If you want to be sure you have it on Nov 13, this might not be your best choice. Standard shipping is $2.99 for 5 or more days, 3 business day shipping is $5.49 and overnight is $12.49.
***Frys:Price: $39.99. No info on website about in-store pickup.They state that they start shipping pre-orders on the date of release so again, if you want it on the release date, you could try to pick up a copy there but it might be sold out. If you preorder, it will be shipped to you on Nov 13 coming to you by whatever method you chose and according to how much you paid to ship it (overnight, 2 day, 3 day etc)
***GameStop: Price: $39.99Available for in-store pickup. Will honor price if it goes up and will lower price if it goes down before the release date. Same recommendations here as above. If you don’t opt for in-store pickup, you will have to wait several days before receiving your pack via whatever delivery option you choose. Standard 2 day shipping is $6.99 and overnight is $9.99. Alaska and Hawaii are a flat $14.99.
