THQ today announced that a second stand-alone expansion for its genre redefining real time strategy game, Warhammer 40,000 : Dawn of War II, is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2011.
Taking place years after the events in Dawn of War II: Chaos Rising , this title allows players to choose their perspective with the first multiple-race single player campaign in the Dawn of War II series. The first race to be revealed is the savage Orks, but no matter which race is chosen players will be taken on an epic journey through each story arc, revealing the answers to many questions left open in previous Dawn of War titles.

As well as the single player campaign, Retribution TM will feature new multiplayer units, maps and an entire new playable faction when it ships.

Jeff Lydell, Producer of Dawn of War II – Retribution commented: “We all love the Blood Ravens here at Relic Entertainment, but there are also a lot of fans of the other races and armies out there so we decided that Retribution should allow the player the freedom to experience the campaign from the perspective they select.”

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II — Retribution is scheduled to be released for Windows PC in the first quarter of 2011.

Mafia II is a third-person action-adventure video game which is the sequel to Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven. It is being developed by 2K Czech, previously known as Illusion Softworks, and will be published by 2K Games. Originally announced in August 2008 at the Leipzig Games Convention, it is due for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Windows on August 24, 2010.
Gameplay

The game will be set from 1945 to 1957 in Empire Bay (the name is a reference to New York’s state nickname “The Empire State”), a fictional city based on San Francisco and New York City, with influences from Chicago and Detroit. The game will feature a completely open-ended game map of 10 square miles. No restrictions are included from the start of the game. There will also be around 50 vehicles in the game, as well as licensed music from the era.

Many firearms from the previous game will make a return, for example the Thompson M1928, the Colt 1911 and a pump action shotgun. As seen in screenshots, new WWII-era weapons like the MP40, the M3 Grease Gun, and the MP28 will make an appearance in the game as well as the MG42.

Interacting with objects in the environment involves two action buttons- a standard action and a “violent” action (for example, when stealing a car, the player may choose to either pick its lock or break the window glass), used in context-sensitive situations. A map will be included as in the original Mafia game. The checkpoint system has been completely overhauled. New controls include a cover system that allows the player to hide behind objects (such as generators, walls and large crates) to shoot enemies, rather than just using a crouch while behind an object. Flanking may be a large part of the combat.

It has been stated by 2K Czech that the game’s cutscenes are created by the game engine, in real time, rather than pre-rendered cutscenes.

Crysis 2 is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Crytek and published by Electronic Arts, due for release on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in March 2011. It is the sequel to the 2007 video game Crysis and its parallel expansion game, Crysis Warhead. The story was written by author Richard Morgan. It will be the first game to showcase the CryEngine 3 development engine.

Hey, does anyone know a good FREE realistic downloadable world war 2 or modern warfare first person shooter that will run with the standard mac operating system without boot camp and all that? Oh, and it has to have an online multiplayer!

Anything free probably will be probably not be the greatest of software.

If you really want a great first person shooter, consider spending some cash. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a great game.

have you ever heard of runescape?? its a huge multiplayer game that u can play across the globe, its free or you can have a membership, this is really no difference just that there are somethings that you cant do but still its a blast, there are different worlds so you will just have to be in the same world to chat, if your son is to young then he might not be able to chat, young people have to use this quick chat deal, but u can just bump up his age there is no difference, i hope i helped you

I know there are several that you can download, but my work computer won’t allow me to install anything because I don’t have administrative rights. i have a "linksys" wireless conection device thing which i use 4 my internet.. my brother put it like that… now.. i have a scrabble game and a coupple of other ones, but when i click "show games" in the multiplayer part it wont show anythin.. what can i do so that the games do show up?

If you click multiplayer and then it takes you straight to it, then it’s doing something wrong. It should go through a process that asks you how many people you want to be involved in the game.
